Ultra-Safe™ EXP Explosion-Proof Unit Heater
Ultra-Safe™ EXP Explosion-Proof Unit Heater Overview
ZIRCO distributes INDEECO Ultra-Safe™ EXP Explosion-Proof Unit Heaters as the official Canada representative. These innovative heaters feature the industry's lowest Ignition Temperature Code rating at T3C (320°F/160°C), providing maximum safety for the most demanding hazardous location applications.
The Ultra-Safe EXP design uses nontoxic propylene glycol as a heat transfer fluid, with a low 70 PSIG relief valve setting that ensures vapor temperature stays well below the ignition point. Dual overtemperature protection (both automatic and manual reset) provides redundant safety for critical applications throughout Western Canada's oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial sectors.
Now available with wet location approval (IP55), the Ultra-Safe EXP is ideal for washdown areas, outdoor installations, and corrosive environments. Choose from standard, 316 stainless steel, or Heresite® coated construction to match your specific application requirements.
Why Choose Ultra-Safe™ EXP Explosion-Proof Unit Heaters?
Lowest Ignition Temperature
T3C rating: 320°F (160°C) - the industry's lowest ignition temperature code for maximum safety in hazardous locations with flammable vapors.
Wet Location Approved
IP55 rated for washdown and outdoor applications. Meets rain-tight requirements of UL 1004-1 for demanding environments.
Dual Safety Protection
Both automatic and manual reset overtemperature cutouts provide redundant safety protection for critical applications.
Corrosion Resistant
Three construction options: Standard powder-coated, 316 stainless steel, or Heresite® coated for harsh chemical environments.
Propylene Glycol Fluid
Nontoxic inhibited heat transfer fluid with freeze protection to -49°F (-45°C) for safe operation in cold climates.
Low Pressure Relief
70 PSIG relief valve setting ensures vapor stays below ignition temperature for maximum operational safety.
